I was hoping some of you could help me out with determing some rates on an upcoming job that I am doing. I am coordinating and will be ADing a commercial shoot in a about 3 weeks. Its a single day shoot, Varicam, with a relatively small crew. As I have not been paid for this work before per se I am not sure what a decent rate is. What I was thinking is that the AD side of things would be a day rate for the production and the Coordinating and preproduction would be something else.
Can anybody point me in the right direction as far as what people are generally charging for these positions? I am used to charging for sound and shooting, in the ball park of +/- 300.00, AD should do better than that right? I have no idea for the preplanning.
