Production Contract Help

Hey all,

I'm about to go into production on a very low budget film in a couple months and one of the ways we are getting ahold of some equipment is through deferred payment. I'm looking for samples of deferred payment contracts as they pertain to equipment. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andy

I can't really help you with the contract info, but I will tell you that you won't have any luck getting equipment on a deferred basis. It may work with rookie actors, or actors who are in it for their reel so they can move to LA and live the big life, but equipment is something else entirely.

I think Bret Stern said it best when he wrote:

"... the key word here is deferred. I will spell it out phonetically. It is pronounced like this : YOU-WILL-NEVER-SEE-A-STINKEN-CENT."

And anyone with equipment knows this. I do wish you luck though, if you can pull it off. If you can't find any contracts, look up deferred payment and different contracts, and write up your own.
