Prod. Design - Family Photos?

I might need to put together family photos for my film thats shooting in June. Anybody ever done this before? Any tips and tricks on what I should get, where to get it, etc.?

Maybe only a select few would be on camera up close, the rest in background...not very featureed. I assume I'll need as many photos of the cast as possible from their own collection too.

Any advice would be helpful. Also, I do have access to an excellent color printer so photoshopping and reprinting photos to go in frames is possible.

on White Knuckles we took the actors' family photos and photoshopped characters together to give the appearance they were authentic. best case scenario is to find complimentary photos of the same era. makes stitching them together in photoshop easier.
