guys today i confirmed a meeting with some execs at a very cool music video/commercial production company here in la. meetings tomorrow (fri)...im like crazy excited and nervous...more excited then i am nervous...a friend showed them the buckfast video and they liked it. im just going through stuff now that i might show but i dunnoo..like the amusement thing is cool...and precursor...just not sure...anyway...i dont have to show anything...but it might be cool if i did...im just not sure, some of its cool i just dont think its the best i have to offer though, mostly just ****in around/learning..know what i mean? but maybe thats not a bad thing...:huh:
 
Good luck, Rich. I'm sure you'll impress the hell out of them. You've got more talent in your mouse clicking finger than most people have in their entire bodies. But you don't need positive strokes from us. Your demo reel speaks for itself.

You should do fine. You can talk the talk and walk the walk. Your work shows you have the talent. That should lead the way.
 
Dude, bring them whatever you got! Somebody is gonna want to see something. What you got is good and before you sign on read your contract carefully. I'm sure you know that already! Good luck on the meeting bro. If all fails I'll hook you up with Joeseph Khan's number!
 
rich. i liked your stuff the night you grabbed your dvx and rode your bike through the rainy streets of LA. maybe throw that on there too. maybe not. good luck either way. act confident but not cocky. word.

guys, just an update. so i met with the production company. it was fantastic...its not "official" yet but it looks like im going to be signed by them...next step, after paper work, is to start writing treaments.

anyway, im pretty ****in excited!

I like a little self doubt in talented people, it always seems to keep them humble and grounded Good stuff Rich, knock em dead!

Rich, you are Uber talented. Of the vids on your site, Precursor and the Drugs vid really struck me. All your work is fantastic, but those two were on my mind for quite some time! You'll do great, no worries, and remember, exec's or not, we all have to **** sometime! :) (we're all only humans)

Been to your site (what's up with naked girls popping up in those .gif animations on home page? :grin: ) and loved the videos. The Buckfast alone made me more confident in buying Panny than all other DVX-shot stuff put together. And previsualization job on POTC and Minority Report? Holy crap!

Since you've posted what the house is, does that mean you got in officially?
