problems with large files?

hi everyone,

i'm working on a project that comes out to about 32 minutes ling and the source material comes out to be about 111gb, and it takes forever to render(as should be expected). but trying to export the final product so i can use encore to put it on a dvd and be done with it, is proving to be a nightmare, there is no option to export to mpeg2 (which surprises me), and exporting to anything else is proving unfriuitful.

i was wondering if there is an mpeg2 option that i missed, or if there is a good set of export settings that will allow for good quality when converted to mpeg2 in encore. exporting has always given me problems, so, any help would be appreciated...im using premiere pro 2.0

thanks

File > Export > Adobe Media Encoder

Adobe Media Encoder will let you export MPEG2 files. However, if you have a tryout version of PPro you can not export MPEG2.

you can also, export a raw avi file (make movie) then bring the movie into encore as an asset and let encore transcode the file.
