Problems with focusing

I'm sure this is a stupid question but how come I can't focus completely on something far away with my 50mm lens and brevis? I've never run into this problem with my still camera with the lens attached, but when I have it on the brevis, it seems that I can only focus up to a certain distance away at infinity.

Thank you,
Ian

your back focus is incorrect on the brevis. Fortunately a Brevis ( unless its very old) has a very good method for adjustment.
Adjust it so that an object at infinity is in focus at the end of your focus rings rotation.
Double check it by cross checking with your footage markings. Do this with your f stop on the 35mm lens wide open.

Not a stupid question at all Ian.

Hi Ian,

your backfocus between your lens and ground glass seems to be off. It's also called collimation. I suppose Brevis provides a manual which explains how to fix it.

Cheers,
Raphi
