SInce I have loaded up the new version 5.1.2 I have been having slow timeline interfaces. For example, when I move a clip in the timeline, there is a time delay. The clip waits, then jumps, then stops, then jumps again. When I compared what my CPU's were doing at the time of this with the activity monitor, only one cpu was working(and it peaked) while the others remained dormant, and then a second latter another cpu would peak, and the other 3, (the one that was at 100% would die to 0. Anyone else have this problem with the new release.
I have a
Quad G5
6.5 GB of Ram
WD Raptor drive runs the OS and programs
Capture and Playback card is the Kona Lhe
Running DVCpro 720pHD in the timeline
on a 4.5 TB eSata Raid system. (more than enough juice to run it)
It worked perfect before I loaded up the new release.....
thanks for the help
