Problems with Export-Plug-In's (e.g. Canopus HQ)

As Barry mentioned in his book - "720p uses a luma grid of 960x720. This represents a pre-filter from the square-pixel HD standard of 1280x720; the image will be expanded back to 1280x720 on playback".

All conversions with the ProCoderExpress are correct (1280x720) but the Export-Plug-In's e.g. Canopus HQ-AVI leave it at 920x720. Such clips are not accepted by other applications like Window Media Player or TMPEG. Any idea?

NLE: EDIUS Broadcast 4.03.

If I am understanding you correctly, your option for output is to use the pro coder express wizard. You can choose default outputs or run thru the wizard. Either way, by using the wizard, you will get the proper 1280x720. And if I remember correctly you can choose options like the Canopus HQ Avi output through the wizard, and it will apply the proper 1280x720 for you.
Just use the wizard. The same options are available to you, and more. You can make the WxH whatever you want to in the advanced settings option, as well as control many other things.

Hi Jason - your hint was really good. Until now I've used the wizard for all things like wmf hd, qt etc. but not for Canopus HQ Avi. I didn't go thru the wizard but selected Canopus HQ directly in the Export-Plug-In menu (there you cannot change any settings).
