Problems to Export.

Hey guys!
I'm a photographer and I've been trying shoot videos with my t2i lately.
Shooting them is ok and editing too but I'm not sure the right setting to export, I've read so much about different settings and none seems to work.

first: The letters or the symbols always look sort of blur, "out of focus".

and second: Just cant export my videos in widescreen... there are always these two vertical bars in each side.

ps: 1920x1088 29fps
and I work with Premiere CS3.

I'm kinda new at this so i appreciate any help...
Thanks everybody!

There's your problem. Everyone thinks that just because they can afford the hardware and software, they can do this job.

Well, it doesn't often work out that way.

I generally have three recommendations for for non-professionals wanting to use professional software.

1. Become a professional. (Spend the time and money to get yourself a formal education in video production.)
2. Hire a professional. (Spend the money on someone who already has that education.)
3. Do without.

It's a little insulting when folks who haven't and don't want to spend the money on either 1 or 2 above come asking for free help when they realize they really can't do this job.

My problem was to think that in this forum I would get some help.
But I guess everybody is a critic, right?
Theres no need for you to generalize.
Trust me, you were a beginner once...

I work as a photographer and I like to experiment a lot and know my gear completely.
My camera shoot videos so i'm shooting, studying and learning... most important, learning from my mistakes.
Im not making any money shooting videos and I dont intend to.

But I thank you for your cute reply and most of all, thanks for putting so much effort and mental energy telling nothing about my doubt.

Thanks everybody that read my post.

Geez, Jim, that was a bit harsh, don't you think? The guy probably got Premiere as part of the bundle when he bought Photoshop and is just experimenting. He's a professional creative... maybe not a pro videographer, but a pro creative. Besides, this forum exist for free help, maybe cut him a little slack?

Tduarte... we need more info. Specifically, what was the details on the source info (framerate, resolution), what was the settings you were using to edit, and what was the export settings.

What's your deal, Jim? This the third time I've seen you tear someone down for coming to this forum asking for help. Last time I checked, that was the point of this forum/website. I have a formal education in television and film production and have been editing professionally for almost 4 years now. Going to school doesn't always guarantee that you will be good at what you do. There have been many people who have succeed on talent and determination. I get where you are coming feeling "prosumers" may or may not be threatening what you and myself do for living but you just need to remember one thing. We already know how to do all the things they are just learning. Even if they get a basic understanding and can create a decent final product, people like you, Mike and myself are lightyears ahead and know how to handle a variety of different situations they would crumble trying to figure. Personally, I think it is somewhat rewarding helping people who have an interest in this field. Acting like helping people who have an aspiring interest in video production and seek help will somehow devalue the profession is just nonsense. But we all entitled to our own opinions. All I'm saying is you don't have to crap on everyone on this forum who ask for help. We were all beginners once.
