Problems Importing P2 with FCP

Ok, here's the deal. I've been importing P2 as a freelance AC/P2 loader at least a few times a week for the last 2 years, so I'm aware of how to do it. The reasion I'm writing this is something happened to my G5 where it know longer works.

On set I use either a rented Powerbook or a Macbook Pro with Duel Adapter for import into FCP. If I get the bid on the edit, I then take those Quicktimes and edit them on my decked out G5 at my studio. I rarely import directly with my G5, I fact I can't remember the last time I did, but I know I have.

In recent months I've upgraded to Leopard, downloaded new P2 drivers, and a few days ago there was a FCS2 update that I did. for the first time in a long time I tried to import P2 via HVX and firewire and It did not show up in the "log and transfer" window. The cards do show up on the desktop and in finder. I even tried copying the files to my G5 and import from there. Are there any known issues with FCS2, Leopard, HVX, and/or P2 driver compatibility that I'm unaware of?

If you have FX Factory plugins installed you need to update FX Factory because those plugins and the 6.0.2 update caused this same issue for many people including myself. If you are not using FX Factory I'm not sure what the issue is, but I know a lot of folks are having issues with Quicktime 7.4 good luck.

Had the same problem and didn' realize it was the FX factory plug-in. I had upgraded but didn't put 2 & 2 together on why it started working again...thought it was the update to 10.5.2
