hey all-
i recently ran into a problem that i've never experienced before and was hoping to get some help. my computer is refusing to recognize any external devices that i plug into it through the firewire ports on my computer, most importantly my hard drive. it just decided that it had enough, i guess. i turned it off and on, tried to check it in the test mode, unplugged and replugged the connections in every conceivable way, but none of those approaches worked. i'm trying to edit from my hard drive and simply can't access it. any ideas of what the problem is and what the possible solutions might be?
