Problem with stabilization

i have a tracking shot that needs stabilization.

my problem is that as the shot is moving, there are stationary objects that pass by the frame and are making the tracking off.

Im guessing i need to add multiple tracks, choosing points on either side of the columns, but ive tried that and its still messing up the tracking, causing the image to flip/rotate/go crazy.

How do i tackle this?

so are you trying to stabilize using points that you set up or just running a smoothcam type plug? one of the videocopilot tut's shows you how to track motion on tracking shots like this where your points eventually disappear. i can't remember exactly the steps but i know it involves several stages of tracking with data applied across multiple null objects and all linked together in the end. it might be the "set extension" tutorial.
