Problem with PlayBack

Occasionaly on playback all I get is a blue screen or fragments of screen.

I power off the DVX100a for an hour and then everyting is fine.

Has anyone else encountered and fixed this issue?

It could be a bad tape, dirty heads or a phucked up camera. Make sure you have warranty.

Worst case scenario is a bad cylinder head...............better hope for dirty heads. Run a cleaning tape or better yet read up in Tech forum how to deep clean the head yourself. Read carefully!!!

Well, unfortunately it's happend with several tapes, and I am only using the DVM63MQ tapes.

I live in Cleveland, Ohio and I am unable to locate a repair center in my State.

I'ts possible that I also have a iffy warrenty. The camera was purchaced from a distributer not a dealer....

I learned too late about the prefered purchase places.

I purchased my camera not from an authorized dealer -- Beach Camera in NJ. The warranty is still honored by Panasonic as long as it is a US model. You don't have to purchase from an authorized dealer for the warranty to apply.
