Hi guys,
My footage is 1080 25p (Pal). Obviously I do not have the option of putting my project settings to 1080 25p, only 24p.
When I start a new timeline FCP asks me if I want to change the project settings to match the footage, to which I obviously answer yes.
However. It does not appear to work properly. The aspect ratio changes, I'm not sure of the technical term for it, but essentially it pushes the footage in at the sides and up at the top, giving a squished and elongated look.
2 questions:
1.How do I alter my project settings to prevent this from happening in the future?
and
2. What is the quickest or easiest way to correct the problem on an already edited timeline?
Cheers guys.
Rick.
