Problem with FCP HD audio going into Soundtrack Pro

I'm losing all audio when sending clips from FCP HD into Soundtrack Pro. The video opens up fine in STP but there's no sound.

Apparently, clips created in Final Cut Studio have no trouble opening up with audio into STP. However, not sure why this is happening since I upgraded into Studio and saved all changes in the new version.

Any thoughts on work arounds with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
 
When you use the export to Soundtrack pro option via menu or right-click on timeline there should be a prompt asking you if you want to make a multi track document or if you would like to include audio.

I'm going from memory here so maybe it will help with your investigation.
