Hey, I prepare and burn my mpeg2 with dvd architect and when i play the clip it chops, like not lag but like it plays for 3 seconds then freezes for like .02 seconds then plays for 3 seconds, so on... Ive tried recompressing it with dvd architect, any sugestions, also my bit rate is set to 8.

Try dropping the bitrate a little. I've had that problem before with that bitrate setting. It should help.

I dropped the bitrate to 4 and it still does it, its like a laggy chopping, 6th dvd that it did it to me. Could it be the file itself wont play on tvs or something?

Its a mpeg 2? is there something i had to set in custom settings when exporting it?

Ok, Here is exactly what I did,

I rendered my video as a MPEG-2, I set the frame rate under custome to 23.something 2/3 pulldown, and i set qualities to best, I rendered it, I used DVD architect to make a menu and a button to select play clip, which is linked to my clip, If i go to preview it plays the clip perfectly fine, I tried adding chapters cause i thought mabee a 5 minute video needed to be broken down in chapters or it would do the laggy thing to me, but everytime i burn a dvd it does the same thing.

Ok, I just tried preparing it with Architect then burning it with nero and it still does the same thing,

Is it something i did wrong when i rendered it? It plays fine on the computer, not the dvd but the file that I rendered, This is getting very frustrating.

Please anyone that might have had the same problem gimme some advice.

Nope I did that, that doesnt work it does it on all the dvd players, I'm going to re-render it in Vegas, and use a constant bit rate, but constant bit rate in Vegas is mesured in the Millions, so does 6,000,000 = bit rate of 6?

Also what are the I frames and B frames they are set to I frames 15, B frames 2

and what is Color pirmaries, and transfer they are set to ITU-R Rec. 624-4 System M.

And what is DC Coeficciant it is set to 9 bit, and i can change to 8 or 10 bit.

Thanks, Id really like to know about setting the bit rate correctly though because its measured differntly in vegas.
