Problem with Apple's Color

I am currently using Apple's Color Version 1.0.1 to grade a 34mins short film. I brought the film into color, using "send to color command" in FCP 6, and had finished my grading.
I rendered all the files successfully, and use the "send to Final Cut" command to send it to FCP for mastering. However, whenever I do that, Color just quits.

I've reopened the program, re-rendered the render files (takes 8 hours mind you), tried a few different options, changed to a different computer (Mac Pro or Mac book Pro) and everytime it just quits.

I am so frustrated. Does anyone have any suggestions on troubleshooting this? If I just use the "send to Final CUt" command before rendering or after I render only 1-2 files, it works. But if I render everything and then execute the command, it just crashes...

All help will be appreciated!

You should export an XML and open that in Shake. The debris of the crash should be in the Color project directory, in the form of XML's and FCP projects.

unfortunately even when I export XML it just kinda quits. The render files are all there and fine because Ive saved my project beforehand, it is just I can't get my project back to final cut pro..

Bring up your console from /Applications/Utilities/Console.

Is it complaining about anything Color related?

Is your FCP timeline 100% "Color safe" before you send it to Color? Have you tried sending your project to Color in 2 or 3 chunks?

what do you mean by a "color safe" timeline?

Only approved codecs, no gfx, no stills, no clips w/speed changes, everything collapsed onto a single layer of video, etc,. Pretty much strip out everything down to bare naked clips on a single video track and send it off to Color 20min at a time.

I figured out the problem. It's because I have some clips with speed changes. I manually deleted the COLOR render files of these clips, and I could send back to final cut pro without problems after.

Thanks all who helped.
