problem with an arm that attach a atomos V to a Canon C100 (thanks in advance)

So you posted something similar the other day, and I was planning on responding to you but you deleted the question before I could.

I believe you were asking about the arm unscrewing naturally and becoming loose by itself. If that's still the case, this is a common annoyance in the field many people struggle with. Personally, I dislike threads for attaching any heavier accessories directly to a body, and I like to use a combination of a cheeseplate/adapter with some sort of 15mm rod clamps.

The handle you linked could work but you'd have to find a way to attach it securely to the camera. But the 15mm clamp is exactly right.

For the C100 Mark II (not sure about its compatibility with the Mark I), there is something called a Zacuto Helmet.

A 15mm rod can be used and extended from it to hold a monitor on a nice swivel or quick release plate (both have locks).

The main idea here is to have locks for everything.

You are not able to do that with just threads. So no matter which particular accessories you choose, the rod clamps/locks will not budge because there is no gravity or force pushing them towards loosening.

There are also cages and half-cages that would work too.

The shoe/ballhead would definitely work and is most common. (Originally, I thought maybe you'd like to have it off to the side.)

So you can use a ballhead on the shoe on top of the handle as the most simplest way to mount a monitor/recorder. It's not perfect but I think it would move less than your current configuration.

And then you can use pieces like the ones below if you would like the Atomos off to the side and want to spend as little money as possible:

Please note that this is just one out of many ways you can configure your camera.

But it's an inexpensive way that works pretty well by locking movement, which is the solution you appear to be looking for.

Do you personnally prefer to have it on the side ?

On a side note, I think I forced the hole on the audio handle of my Canon C100 by trying to use the arm on it. Is it possible? I tried to screw the manfrotto arm on the hole on the audio handle once again and it didnt seem to screw anymore. I guess enlarged it.

I like an external monitor on top of the body (with the lens perfectly in the middle) or sometimes maybe a tiny bit to the left, but that's just because I'm used to it like that. My personal issue with the C100 is it becomes too tall and bulky if you use the handle and place a monitor on top of it.

And I'm not sure about your handle, but sometimes you can strip threads by accident.
 
screwing into that top handle is very flimsy. i had a piece break off into in shortly after i bought the C100. could never get it out and gave up using it as it was broken. if you haven't had it break off yet consider yourself lucky. only put lightweight stuff up there and not an off balanced item like you have.
