Hi,
i try to use a rode mic lavalier with a micon xlr adapter. I found the cable was really thin for being put with a xlr at the bottom.
I put the rode lavalier to the juicedlink and i had to play with the cable in order to have sound.

I guess if i use another lavalier mic with a proper larger cable, i won't have these problems. I think the thin cable of the rode mic is too fragile to use with a xlr.

Any thoughs on another lavalier i could buy ?
Any comments ?
Thanks in advance

my supplier ended up having to send me 4 of the xlr adapters until i got one that worked properly......but since then (about 18 months) the 'chosen one' has worked without fail

The micon xlr should clip onto the belt or some other anchor point (protecting the thin cable) and then a full size XLR cable should connect the micon to the audio unit. The lavalier cable should be thought of as a 'pigtail' to snake down discretely inside the clothes rather than as the connecting cable. It is too fragile to be stepped on, yanked etc.

the thing is the 48v required for the rode lavalier takes too much energy battery. It is a bit worthless.
Robert from juicedlink suggest me AT899 lavalier, even AT803 (still good sound, and cheaper.)

its hard to understand. The lavalier cable cant seem to be put unto a xlr cable. I dont understand it.

I don't want to be rude but you keep asking questions that are way below basic. I really think you need to maybe read the stickies a bit maybe a book or two because foks are going to stop responding if you post questions that you would know the answer to if you did even the quickest google search.

Now if you are 12 or something and don't even know where to start say so and we can maybe help point you in the right direction.
