Problem with 5600 mah battery

I've had my 5600 mah DVXuser.com battery since June of 2005 and it's worked great up until last weekend. When I installed it in the DVX-100A, the seam on the plastic cover split and now the cover is loose. I'm concerned about the battery leaking. I think the battery has a lifetime warranty, so e-mailed zoomforce.com for more info. Anyone else have a similar problem?

You can try to Superglue the seam. There is nothing there to leak, the cells inside are sealed individually.

No experience with the case splitting, but one of my DVXUser batteries is starting bulge on the top and bottom.. Obviously it's not normal and I'm wondering how long before it splits the case?

I contact Deb@DVXUser and found out the batteries only carry a 6 months warranty
