Problem using Motion & FCP (simple text animations)

i havent used motion in a while but everytime i send a clip from FCP to Motion, insert my text animation and import the motion file back into FCP it's not in the same aspect ratio for some reason. what am i doing wrong???

i've been trying to figure this out for hours now..... :undecided
 
have you tried exporting as a quicktime? and then importing a video instead of a motion file?
 
You could also go into the Motion tab in FCP's Viewer window and set the aspect ratio manually in the Distort section. I have the same problem when importing a Motion project into a PAL Anamorphic sequence. Setting the aspect ratio to 1,42 solves it for me, although I'm not sure if that's fixing the sympton or the problem …

You have to go in the clip settings in FCP and check "anamorphic".
Then it will display correctly.

But each time you round trip between Motion and FCP you have to do it again.

I don't know how and why FCP doesn't flag Anamorphic motion project as anamorphic footage…
 
i never did get this resolved and now having the same problem....it wont let me check clip settings option in FCP when i try and select the motion file ...i never have this issue with HD footage...

tried this also and even though everything is set up to 720x480 same as the FCP footage my quicktime file imports out of aspect ratio and there is black border on sides like i need to scale it or something
