problem importing a Live type file

If i am not mistaken I have not open Live typre since I switch to tiger, and the problem is that I can not import any live type files into FCP. I get file error:1 recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown.
does anyone have any idea on what to do in this case. I also have projects and timelines with live type files and they work , I dont know why FCP is not recognizing the new files that I want to import.

please some advice thank you
 
If you are merely trying to import a livetype file into final cut - I do not think you can do that(though I may be wrong).

Open your livetype file you wanted to import. Click fil at the top. Click Render movie. This will create a quicktime of what you made.

You can then import this quicktime into final cut.

(if this isn't the problem, it may be that you need to upgrade your programs to work better in tiger).
 
You should be able to import LiveType project fiels directly into FCP.
You may want to repair permissions on your machine.
 
how are you doing body, I used to work directly to FCP with no problem until I switch to tiger, but let me try your idea anyways, so far when I try to save a live type file I do not get the quictime option can you please explain how to save it as a quicktime
 
To repair permissions :
Open Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities/) check the partition with your system (if you have more than one partitions) and click repair permissions.
