this is exactly what happen , i lost my original firewire , i got couple different , now when i plug in nothing shows in my computer i hear the beeping that something its connected , i go to my device manager i see it in one of the disc drives but it has yellow circle with (!) on it , clicking on it it gave me code 10 , i tried trouble shooting , i uninstalled it reinstalled , reboot , enable disable ,it still the same problem ..oooh but the dv io to the camera works fine
so do you think is the cable as i searched the firewires comes ( 4pin to 6 pin ) ( 6 pin to 6 pin) so maybe from the fs to pc it needs all pins or ........., if you have any idea that can help me im very greatfull
