Problem DVD Studio Pro...Help!

I am trying to burn a simple DVD build in DVD Studio Pro. The burn was successful, but my DVD player says it's a bad disk.

I tried the DVD on my Mac and it played fine. I burned a 2nd DVD and it says the same thing on my DVD player. The build log says it's playable in regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8. I'm in California, so it should work for Region 1, right?

Any settings I might need to check?
Thanks,
Andrew

I have a Quicktime Movie, uncompressed. It was originally an AVI file from a digital point and shoot. And I have a JPEG.

Is there some sort of compression I should be using? I've burned DVDs successfully using QTs in the past.

DVD-R, DVD+R?

Are you saying you use the same discs to burn DVDs that work in the same player all the time?

Hmmm... make sure you haven't somehow selected to burn an HD-DVD?

Try older discs you've burned, that have worked in the past with the same player - sometimes buildup on the DVD player internals will make it start rejecting recordable discs (a lens cleaner then may help).

I'm assuming the disc never properly loads... that is, you never see a menu or anything; just get an error. If the issue is that playback stutters and then gives an error, it may be a too-high-data rate issue as suggested above.
