Problem capturing in CS4

My capture window only sees the built in isight camera on my imac even though it think it is seeing my capture deck as the play/record controls on the capture window will start and stop my capture deck (a Canon ZR800), everything seems correct, its like the isight is just getting in the way, does this sound like a familiar issue to anyone?
