Problem Capturing DV Video in FCP

Having a problem capturing DV video using Log and Capture in FCP. I can view the video fine (using an external player via firewire), and the preview of the capture looks and sounds fine. BUT - when FCP captures the video, the image and sound are going out of sync. I can capture fine using other software, and can play the DV tape through monitor - and FCP will view and preview fine - so the problem is definitely with the capture processing. I have reinstalled FCP, but this did not fix problem.

If anyone has had a similar issue with capturing DV video in FCP, would appreciate any idea about how to fix.

What audio output are your speakers attached to? Desktop and firewire output do not share sync.
