Hi,
Just thought id stick a quick post up about the UK AV supplier, ProActive (or ProAV).
I bought two Vlock batterys and a charger off them in January, and they cut me a very good deal. I bought the batterys and used them for afew months.
Unfortunately, one of the batterys died on me, so I phoned them up and they said send it back. I sent it back YESTERDAY (?!) and today, a guy from ProAV (not a courier, just one of the ProAV employees) drove to my house to deliver the new battery to me.
I was amazed with the service, and when I went to their showroom to pickup the batteries (the first time round), they had an amazing office, great camera testing area (with a large model railway as a subject to film, you probably saw it if you were at Broadcast Live in London) and A huge store warehouse and packing area.
The staff are great, and as I have just found out, their customer service is impossibly good.
They are located about an hours drive from me (they are based in Hemel Hempsted, UK) but they are primarily an online store, and they are now my supplier of choice over Calumet, Creative Video etc.
So if you need gear in the UK and dont want to be messed around, then try these people:
