pro res LT as opposed to pro res?

I have an iMac and I'm working from an external hard drive, editing a project with some mts files that I converted to Pro Res LT using ClipWrap. They are really sluggish and a slow to load. There are some other clips that work just fine which I used log and transfer in FCP7 to convert to Pro Res (not light), and these work fine. I would have done all my mts files that way, but for some reason the Log and Transfer window stopped working for me (thus ClipWrap).

I'm pretty stumped. Any suggestions appreciated!

Well, to answer my own question...Never mind! I just discovered I somehow had converted those files in question to H.264 instead of Pro Res. I went back and converted them to Pro Res and everything works fine now. I guess it pays to check your settings...
