Pro Res Capture 720p24 on G5 possible?

I know that you cannot capture full quality ProRes 422 without a Mac Pro but what about 720p24 capture on a G5 from hvx200? Could that be captured to a G5? If someone has the capability could you please try it. Obviously the workload should be much lighter if you are working with 720p footage. It is almost 1/3 the space at 720p24.

ProRes Whitepaper says:
Comparative Data Rates
Target HQ Storage Frame Rate Data Rate Requirements
Dimensions (fps) (Mbps) (GB/min)
720x486 29.97 63 0.47
1280x720 23.976 88 0.66
1920x1080 23.976 176 1.32
1920x1080 29.97 220 1.65

Thanks

Don't know- semi doubt it as ProRes is optimized for Intel machines but you could easily check. And if it didn't work you could capture DVCPROHD and then encode to ProRes after the capture. The thing is via Firewire the signal is 720p/60p anyway. Going through P2 would be a better call.

Also on the creativecow folks have reported capturing to ProRes in SD and hdv(720p30) on G5 so I am almost sure it does work. What I am thinking is that 720p24 native dvcprohd will work if it isn't mapping it as 720p60. Obviously 720p60 would be alot more taxing on the system.
Oh how I wish that Intensity Card would work on a G5.
