Anyone heard of this?

Seems straight forward enough, I am just wondering if it is worth $235.

Is there anything this piece of equipment can do that a regular dolly can't? I still need a regular dolly and would like to invest there, but this might not be a bad inexpensive substitute..

Or should I just buy the wheels from Neil Rowe (or another site) and build a large one myself?

I'm currently in the market for a dolly myself, so I can't speak from any experience, but it doesn't look right to me. If you have a track up on those tripods, I would think that you will get a lot of shaking going on. A dolly track on a floor would seem much more stable in my opinion.

I have it and it's a bunch of pieces of equipment you can get from home depot for way less than they're charging. I lne earned this when I was looking for a replacement wheel. If you want a cheap dolly the folks at www.dvcaddie.com have one.

This is simply a smaller version of dolly on wheels. First of all, are you in demand for something like this or does it have a potentional of being used in a certain scene that; but not that often? If so then just build one. In this case, I would. If building is not your thing then there is a cheaper version. Can't remember. I'll look it up.

Do the dollies come with the dollies Bill? LOL
The footprint seems so small are there stability issues, I wonder?
Examples look pretty good though.
Am doing a low (from the side) angle shoot to demo a mountain bike wheel this week.
Opted for bean bag and dolly on neumatic wheels. And may even shoot from the side of a van for this, because of the speed involved.

I'm looking at this too. I know I could build one for less, but there is some value in not having to track down all the parts and build one. So, although cheap at $250, not factoring the DIY cost, how does this setup actually perform?

Anyone have one and actively use it? Any video samples online?

I like the idea of it being raised off the ground, so I could use it in snow.

Thoughts on this setup?

If you want to build a dolly have a look here for some inspiration:

That one is a killer :D
