Print to Tape madness...

I shot/edited some HD stuff with the XHA1 at 24F, and I want to show the finished product to some colleagues at school on a miniDV deck. For some reason, I haven't needed to do this yet. The projector we're using is SD, so I'd like to know what settings to use to print the video/audio to a tape so I can show it off.

Any thoughts?

Do I need to change the project properties to anything special first? I still have it set to 1440x1080.

There was some slight sound noise on the tape, but I think that might have to do more with the tape being kind of old than anything else. Anyway, I ran it through the projector today and everything looked great except for the picture being stretched. The projector was in 4:3 and I shot 16:9. I printed with the NTSC DV Widescreen option, so I don't know what I need to do to have letterbox bars show up when projecting.

Any thoughts?

I finally got it to work on my V1U in NTSC DV at 720x480.

If I pick NTSC 24p DV with 2-3 pulldown widescreen how close is this to the original capture in the camera with the stock 1080i settings?

I wanted to show a friend a edited video on his 60" Sony sxrd
The original footage right off the camera thru the hdmi looked fantastic!
