Preview Window "lines" when panning

I am seeing horizontal glitches in my preview window when viewing panned shots. It appears that there is a temporary misalignment of horizontal sections of the video. It does not do this when not panning. Changed tapes, and tried changing preview quality, but no significant difference. It does not appear to occur at the same point each time, and I do not see it when viewing each frame separately. I am hoping this is just the inability of my pc to keep up with the panned video in the preview screen. Any ideas?

Try rendering it out. If the problem goes away, it's just your system trying to keep up. If it's still there, we'll think of something else.

It went away when I rendered and played back thru Windows media player, but was still there when I rendered to a new track and played back on the preview window. So it sounds to me like video in the preview window is having trouble keeping up with the horizontal panning. That's good news; I was a little scared something had gone awry with the dvx!

I've had the same problem on my PC, which is pretty fast. I see it when I playback large files in media player, and on some video games too. It's called "screen tearing." Maybe it won't be an issue after "Avalon" is released...There's no reason my computer should be able to keep up with 2D DV graphics.

I had the same exact thing happen to me a while back, and everytime, it went away once I rendered. And I was using two different NLE's at the time.
