I'm working on a documentary at the moment and premiere seems to have gone crazy. I'm editing plain old DV 4:3 PAL from my DVX but for some reason the last few days whenever I do a preview render a black box/border appears around the clips.
When I render it properly as a 4:3 avi file it then looks like a wide screen shot with bars only on the top and no longer the sides.
I'm deffinetly using a 4:3 PAL project with only 4:3 PAL footage. The clips look like I have imported low rez footage in and haven't scaled it up but when I copy the clips into After Effects 7 pro they look fine.
Another problem that has only occured recently is that although the keyboard shortcuts are working when I hit file or edit up the top the keyboard shortcuts are displayed as [?] and even under keyboard customisation it shows as [?] or CTRL + [?]. Anyone encounted these problems before or know how to fix them?
e.g.
I go up to the top bar click file or edit or project , etc and normally something as simple as save would look like this:
SAVE CTRL + S
now it looks like this
SAVE CTRL + [?]
I'm using the adobe production suite 2 on Windows XP - never had any problems until now and have done numerous promotional videos on the system.
Hope someone can help!
