Preview Image In Firewire Device from AE in PowerBook

Hello, im having a hard time to see the colors Im working in AE with the ones I preview in a Monitor, is there a way I can preview the image directly from AE to a Firewire device or monitor?

i have after effects Pro 6.5

go edit>preferances>video output..

change the pulldown box from "desktop only " to "IEEE 1394 Device
