Pretty cheap. Is it good though?

you get a lot for the price. But you know good and well that aint quality merchandise.:) I tried the britek's out when I first started and those were the worst. 2 broke on the very first day of shooting. For a grand I would scour ebay and craigslist for name brand stuff.

plastic bodies are terrible, like Filthrich said, buy name brands from eBay.

Arri, Mole, and B&M are the brands I stick to, and they can be found for very cheap used on eBay. They will last you a lifetime.

I haven't used them a lot, and I know nothing about the company you mentioned, but I actually bought a very similar kit with the very same lights. The price is about half that of a similar Arri kit, but I found the lights usable. There is a little lacking in the fit-and-finish, but the lights worked well. I just would not rough-house with them. The case is not as well padded as an Arri or Lowel hard case. If you are on a budget, go for it. You can always add a Mole or Arri kit when you've got more money. (You can never have too many lights ;)~ )

Pacific Coast Lighting Systems has been discussed in other threads, and not well-reviewed. Briteks have also been discussed extensively, and lots of folks have commented that they don't hold up well. Personally if I was on a budget I would go with Lowel long before Britek. Save your money until you can at least afford Lowel.

I also think that the two "broad" lights are not very versatile, because you can't focus the beam at all. So they are only useful in the softboxes, or to just blast light everywhere.
