Presentation CD

[Final Design Studios]

What do you think would be best for a presentation CD for commercials? Anything that will work on a computer, and is not DVD.

Is it possible to play video in powerpoint or should I go through HTML? I've been trying flash but its really giving me problems while working with FLV files.

Why not DVD?

My boss doesn't want to do DVD because most businesses won't have DVD players handy. He just wants a regular CD

Unless their computers are really old, then they've got combination CD/DVD drives. I would stay away from powerpoint and video--I tried it once and PP was just terrible for dealing with video. Although the current version may be better than when I tried it. HTML would be a good bet if you wanted to distribute a CD, plus you can throw the whole thing up on the web without much additional work.

I'm starting to lean toward HTML. You're right though, most computers have DVD drives these days. And DVD would yield the best quality.

Is there anyway to do HTML without a browser window?

I talked him into DVD. Whew, that would have been a pain on HTML. How good is sony's DVD architect? has anyone used it?

I really like it. It's got great features and really couldn't be easier to use.

If you're using Vegas (and I assume you are) the workflow couldn't be smoother and the quality is excellent.
