Premire .mov codec help

I have a hard drive full of .mov files that I need to open in premiereCS3 but every time I try it says that I am missing the codec that is needed to use the file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are several codecs that Quicktime can use that are Mac/FCP only. Here are a few that i know off the top of my head:

HDV
DVCProHD
AIC


You'll need to open these up on a Mac with FCP and export them to something else that is viewable on the PC. ProRes 4:2:2 is viewable on the PC now so that's a good codec to use.
