PREMIERE ULTRAKEY export to AFTER EFFECTS?

has anyone exported greenscreen footage with the "ultrakeyer" effect active into after effects?

when i import into after effects it keeps all other effects accept the "ultrakeyer"

the "ultrakeyer" seems to be working 10x as well as any key i can get using "keylight".

anyone able to help? cheers if so

after effetcs, ultrakey, keylight, green screen, chroma

Export your clip as a quicktime animation uncompressed and there should be an alpha channel that will show up in AE

hey there, i tired what you suggested yet where or how do i access the alpha channel of the video?

1. got my greenscreen footage in premiere, applied the ultra keyer and removed the green background.
2. export as quicktime animation uncompressed, renders out as .mov file.
3. import .mov file into my comp within after effects.
4. how do i retrieve the alpha channel so i can layer things behind the actor?

i suppose i could render out just the alpha channel and use it as a mask?

The alpha channel should be there automatically. Maybe the alpha channel switch was unchecked when you rendered it out in premiere?

ahhh got it to work  i had to select 32bit colour depth.

thanks for the tips kevinottawa
