Stupid question , but what is the best way to get my project in premiere over to encore? Best way to export so its the highest quality, before i import to encore? should it be mpeg2?
Everyones workflow will differ slightly. I suggest you export your timeline to Mpeg 2 using Adobe Media Encoder and then import those assets into Encore for authoring. There are a few long term benefits to doing this rather than exporting an AVI and letting Encore do the transcoding. Encore does not support direct import of Premiere timelines at this time as After Effects does. Oh, and the presets in Media Encoder are mostly useless as-is in my opinion - meaning you'll likely be disappointed with the output. Better to use them as a starting point for your own custom ones.
