Premiere Supports MXF

Uhm, does that mean it will support the raw MXF files? Or is it more like FCP, where it just turns them all into QT files?

being a current ownerof raylihgt, im not sure i want to spring the money(400 for plugin, and 439 for dvcpro-hd add on) for a true naitive support seeing as adobe has aquired the serious magic company, which also has DVCPRO-HD support , and I assume they will likely integrate its functionality into future versions of PPRO and AE ect.. although one has to wonder if its worth the wait, and if this wold be a great alternative in the meantime pending how long that wait is. ...ahhh. choices choices.

Probably not. But it would mean that you no longer have to convert the P2 card contents to AVI files, you should be able to just plug the card in your laptop and drag the files straight to the timeline -- no waiting, no copying, no converting. Haven't tried it though.

Yeah, I posted a thread about this program a few weeks back. People didn't seem to interested. I think the price (which is basically another NLE) made it kind of not worth it to people to garner much interest. Basically, Neil's point.
