Premiere Pro - native MXF in CS3 coming soon?

[Barry_Green]

Found this post by beta-tester Robert Lane:

Says that while he can give no details yet, it looks like native MXF support is coming to Premiere Pro...

[cbrougham]

Amen...

Now, just to squash the bugs on the things that are already built-in...

[David Jimerson]

Huh. Wonder if this makes the slightest difference to, oh, to pick a company out of thin air, Sony Media Software?

[Barry_Green]

Or, hmm, pick another company out of thin air -- Apple? CS3 is available on the Mac, so -- both those companies start to look awfully isolated out there in their non-MXF stubbornness...

[David Jimerson]

Yeah, but Robert took care of that one in his own post.

What MFX ???

What MFX ???

what standard is it you're refering to Barry ?? I thought of MFX as an audio standard or spec...

if so plz share the improvement this will offer to PPro users.

thnx

[Barry_Green]

MFX = audio plug-ins

MXF = SMPTE-codified cross-platform universal interchangeable file format.

nice. im assuming that it'll be in both the mac AND the windows version? ..it would be really nice to be able to import all four audio streams with a simple option.

I can't seem to access the article. It says I don't have the proper access (and I've already done the whole registration on The Digital Video Information Network).

Do you have another link to the article?

Thanks!~
Travis

It would appear that the post was removed. Got a feeling somebody violated their NDA...
