Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3) update: performance, bugs, and more CUDA cards

The Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3) update is available.

This update includes performance improvements, bug fixes, & Quadro 5000M & 4000 CUDA support.

Note that the page that I point to gives important installation/download instructions.

Let us know how this update works for you.

Speaking of CUDA support... apparently there is no Mac laptop capable of using CS5 PP and CUDA... the minimum ante for video memory is about 768 MB, and as far as I can tell, the larges video memory on the Mac laptops is about 500 MB... and my puny allotment is 250MB...

I updated and I think some of the horrendous problems with the Cineform issue may be abaited... but I don't have time to test, as I went back to using the AVCHD MTS files directly, putting the play back in 1/4 res, etc. to get on with what I need to get done tomorrow...

So far, that's true. We've been releasing updates somewhat frequently, adding new cards to the list of cards that officially provide the CUDA acceleration features. Let us know which cards you want added in future releases by submitting a feature request.

Great! You should see on the list of fixes in the document that I pointed to that we list some Cineform fixes. I'm glad that they seem to have solved problems for you.
