Premiere Pro CS3 released

i cant imagine they couldnt work it out since its the same thing as AE has had for a while now. if it does have any issues at all, a simple work around would be to copy the clip into a dynamically linked AE project and remap it there and then youd have the corresponding clip with the new timing in your PPRO timeline. i should be picking the suite up pretty soon. ill check it out and see how it functions.

Thanks! I'm sure they got it to work.. A lot of the "extra features" in PPRO started in AE, so it was a bit of suprise that it was not working in the beta release.

btw - Neil the new website looks great!

..i havent heard one way or the other yet, but i woule assume that it does not untill I see it working with my own eyes. but you can use raylight to do that. works flawlessly, and basically gives you naitive .mxf file support. no special handling needed, just edit them like any other naitive file. ive been working with raylight in CS2 and it makes .mxf handling seemless. i never really think that im using it unless someone brings it up.

During a CS3 suite eSeminar (about two weeks ago) I specifically asked if there was going to be native .mxf support. There is none in this release, but they are working on it.. :crybaby:

No mxf support. But Mainconcept has a plugin that will open up Premiere Pro to other formats.

It's an add on for their Mpeg Pro plug in for Premiere Pro. Havn't tried it but usually I find Mainconcept to make good products. I think there is a try out version for download.

It's not quite the same. Time Remapping displays in the timeline differently in Premiere than AE. In AE your displayed clip length remains the same. In Premiere it will display shorter or longer depending on what you do.

what i meant was that its the same engine behind it. i havent seen the display of it yet it PPRO. :)

might as well just get cineform and benifit from its other advantages if your already gonna be spending $400+ on a plugin
