Premiere Pro CC running slow all of a sudden

All of a sudden my transcoding process is operating at a snail pace. What once took an hour to transcode or
render a effect is taking apprx. 10 time longer. I've cleaned all the malware off the computer and defragmatized it.

Processor: Intel Core i7 4770 (3.5 gh.)
32 gig of ram
Graphics card: Geforce GTX 770
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H

Any ideas whats causing this? After I did a final edit on a 3 camera timeline lasting 1 hour it took 14 hours
to export it!!! Normally it would have taken around an hour or so.

Thanks

Did your video card get a new driver?

Could be a hard drive issue, lots of bad sectors could be causing a lot of rewrites.

1) as Greg was hinting to. make sure your rendering with your GPU and not CPU. (setting in PP) and your Drivers are up to date.
2) clear your PP cache/ temp stuff (I don't have CC but I assume it still exists)
3) have you rebooted lately? Do it if you haven't in a while.
also do a general cache & temp clearing (I use CCleaner)

And defrag won't help you. Windows 7 + does it automatically. and would only give you a speed increase in starting a program.

Hi
I might add to the excellent advice in the above posts to try transcoding something you have done previously to eliminate the possibility the something is going on with your current edit. Try some short piece which you would have a good feel for the transcode time and see if it works or is ten times slower like your current edit.

Best luck to you

A couple of things that often cause me problems.
Firstly, any rendering of Magic Bullets footage is going to take much longer.
Secondly, if my primary hard drive is almost full my rendering will take a lot longer than usual.
