Premiere / Photoshop integration?

Hi guys,

I was just reading dpreview.com and I´ve found out that there is an integration between Premiere and Photoshop. It is not clear to me though if it is possible to import a video file to Photoshop and color correct it there. Is this possible? If so, how?

cheers

Rafa

I´m not sure if this is THE way to do it but I´ve found out that to apply the effect to the entire footage you have to select the option "convert to smart object"

Ok, I was wrong. When I convert the footage to a smart object the effects are applied over Photoshops´ video timeline, BUT when I import the PSD file to Premiere it only shows one frame.

I've not experimented with PS->PPro and PPro->PS too much, but I recall there being a 'render' under the 'File->Export' menu, that one should do in PS to get a 'movie' out... It may be that one does have to render in PS to then reimport back to PPro.

I'd recommend using the animation or other 'lossless' codec to avoid any re-encoding losses, with the 'usual' video codecs. This may take a lot of space...
