I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS3
Computer specs:
XP Pro 64
Service Pack 2
Intel Xeon
300Ghz
8 gb RAM

I am a producer for Legislative Media and I am on a deadline to complete a project, recently I have run into a problem with the software.
I was editing a project I built it into the timeline and while I was opening a window to view a clip that I was adding I recieved an exception error.

The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000005) occured in the application at location 0x00000000

After closing the program and reopening it I found that none of my work was saved, I made sure all other programs were closed then tried again and after about 2 hours of building the timeline out again I was doing something totaly different I moved an audio clip into the source monitor the error occured again I closed it and when I reopened my work was gone again, what made this most frustrating was it did not backup my work so I went into preferences and set backup to every 5 min then began work again, after an hour it crashed again, my work was gone and when I went into the preferences my settings were gone as well.

I am having difficult time completing my project with this issue if anyone has any ideas I would be greatful, thank you.

I did find out that my work was not gone I discovered the file backup but the error is still occuring.

I have no idea what to tell you, beyond that the 4.1 update should be out this week (Adobe says "end of May"). This is supposed to fix many of the stability issues. Whether it will solve your problems... who knows.
