Premiere Locks up when Launching Title Window

Has anyone had this problem: While in Premiere I select New<Title, but instead of the title window opening up, the system locks up. Windows task manager says Premeiere is "Still running" but it's non-responsive. If I open up an old project that already had titles/graphics on it, then it works fine, but I cannot open a new project and lauch the titler window in Premiere. I have 2 different computers (3.4ghz P4 & Pent. D) with Premiere 2.0 on them and it does the same thing on both. What gives?

Try changing the 'Playback Setting' to Compatible.

ripupthehwy, i think you can find the solution if you read If the titler is crashing Premiere Pro, andyurtu said: in the PPro Wiki.

It seems that missing fonts and/or old drivers to the graphic card causes this problem.
