"We are sorry if you were in the middle of something... your data may be lost."

The correct phrase is "your data IS lost".

Remember my bitching thread about Premiere a few weeks back? Well I still hate it.

It's likely that I may not have a presence on the DVD because I can't get my footage to 24p... it's all 29.97. I had a couple speed changes and for whatever reason Premiere doesn't LIKE THAT... it freakin' crashes every time it hits the speed changes. Oh it's fine on 29.97, but when I try to output it as 23.98... NOPE!

Man don't you wish you could just kick some software guy responsible for these headaches? I mean directly in the ding-ding?

I won't start another big project in Premiere... it'll be either Vegas or Mac... or bust.

I've had errors like this before. All caused by speed changes. What I did is opened the project file in a text editor (like Textpad), and changed all the speed settings to 1.0000000, saved it, and reopened it in Premiere. All was fine. All I had to do is reapply the speed changes in the clips that needed them. It's a real drag! But it's the only solution I found, other then restarting the project.

It's a good habit to turn on autosave with multiple backup copies (15 at least), and once in a while, save your project under a different name.
