Premiere Elements Timeline Issue

A clip appears on the timeline but only the audo plays back.

That's the short version. I can see the video/audio tracks on the timeline and initially the clip is there, surrounded by all the other clips and the playback is fine. I don't believe it is a render issue because I have isolated and rendered the clip and the adjoinging clips and it is still not visible in the preview pane. I am not familiar with key frames but understand enough philosophically to check the opacity to be sure it is 100%- so I don't think that is the problem. My project is down to about fifteen minutes in lenght and this "blackout" situation occurs about three times throughout among the dozens of successful edits and transitions. Thanks for any ideas!

Have you check to see if your clips are still visible in the bin area? Make sure all your capture clips are in the same folder. Have you also tried locating the clip?

Re: Premiere Elements Timeline Issue

I checked and the clips are visible, in the same folder, and present. I looked on the Adobe forum and there is one for Premiere Elements so I'll take it over there. Thanks for your help! Larry
