My internal harddrive is full of P2 footage now. I need a much bigger harddrive, and I would like to go external. I´m thinking of buying a 2 TB firewire 800 external disk of some kind. Will this drive have fast enough disk access for editing P2 footage? I will use a cheaper 2 TB disk for backup.
If this does not work. What are the options out there for external raid storage and backup? It´s been a long time since I looked into these thing, and I have just been working with my internal 250 GB disk for the last 5 years. I tried to find out about editing/storage/backup solutions, but it is so overwhelming. Any sites or recommendations. What are the standards right now?
Thanx!
